Contecon and Andipuerto contributed more than US $ 11 MM to Ecuador

21.6.2019

According to the Port Authority of Guayaquil (APG), the concession terminals of the port delivered to Ecuador US$ 11 million in the first five months of 2019.

Specifically, the concessionary company of the bulk and multipurpose terminal (Andipuerto) paid US$ 254,020.77 for the fixed rentals and US$ 400,525.66 for variable compensations. While Contecon disbursed US$10.5 million (US$ 5,648,468.35 for the fixed fee and US$ 4,851,057.87 for variable income).

The APG explained that the income includes: the transfer of the facilities for what is perceived as a fixed amount, and for the provision of services a variable amount calculated on income or on cargo handling.

It should be noted that during the past year, 2,809 vessels of different depths reached the main port of Ecuador. Of that figure, 838 ships berthed at the terminals concessioned by APG.

This is explained by the fact that the concession terminals of the port of Guayaquil ( both Contecon and Andipuerto) have a modern infrastructure that allows them to provide services to all types of ships, as well as handle and store containers or any type of dry or refrigerated cargo in their facilities.
